Mateo Garcia

Backs Coach

Mateo was born and raised in Uruguay (South America). There he attended an Irish School where rugby was considered a main part of education. Since then he has also played at Texas A&M, Neckarsulmer Sport Union (Germany) and the Austin Huns. He has been lucky enough to experience first hand the benefits of rugby, opening doors worldwide, generating amazing friendships, pushing him to be a better person. 

Duncan Cooper

Assistant Head Coach

Duncan began playing rugby at the age 5 for the Saffron Walden Rugby Football club, in Essex, UK. Growing up in the UK, he played for Saffron Walden RFC, Braintree Colts and Bishops Stortford RFC. While living in New Zealand, he played for Waiuku District RFC.

After moving to Austin in 2000, he joined the Austin Huns. He's been coaching for Huns Youth and High School since 2015 and has a son and daughter in the program. 

Conrad Dorflinger-Slee

Backs Coach

Born in New Zealand, Conrad has been playing rugby since he was old enough to hold a ball. After immigrating to the States, he continued to play the game he loves. 

Recently, he spent time playing at the University of Tennesse and won the SCRC Championship. While playing for the men’s side, he also helped coach a local high school side. Conrad is excited to help grow our young Huns HS program. 

David "Longo" Longoria

Fowards Coach

Longo started life in American Football as a D-Lineman - excelling at the HS and College levels.  He moved to rugby as soon as he could and has never been happier.

Scott Constable

Scott started playing rugby in college at R.I.T. On moving to Austin in 1997, Scott played for the Austin Huns RFC. After his kids were born, Scott began a journey of youth coaching over the next 13 years that started with soccer and transitioned to rugby as fast as possible.  Scott has been coaching rugby for 6+ years, and is a World Rugby certified L1 level coach.
